Non Conformist Car Club. Born on the 8th October, 2006
Mods’n’Rodders
started out as an idea of Nessie, the former chairman for six years standing of
the Acton Hot Rod Association, in the early part of 2006.
From that idea this group was formed, with much help from the
longstanding working group of the AHRA. This
team includes the official chairman, acting chairman, treasurer, membership
secretary, webmaster, forum moderators and the show/event organisers up to the
AGM in 2007, who for the
past ten years have brought you the highly successful Mersea Motor Madness.
Some of our members also belong to other clubs, and therefore represent
the whole spectrum of customising, modifying and restoring in the UK.
We would like to see a
petrolhead world where we all share an interest in customized or
restored vehicles without prejudice, and so wish to build this group on the
foundation of passion and respect. Passion
for the hobby of building, modifying and showing cars, and respect for each
others choices of what type of car and which style of modifying we each choose to
follow.
We feel that there is a space in the world of petrolheads that needs to be
filled for people who share these views. If
we put this interest together with the working experience, earned respect from
the NSRA and NASC and the enthusiasm to put something back into the scene, then
there is surely a great future for this group. Club Roots, Orwell Valley Cruisers, AHRA. We meet at the Wheatsheaf Inn, Church Rd, Tattingstone, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP9 2LY, 2nd Tuesday of each month, Map.
